I took up running after graduating college as a way to stay active and discovered the trails a couple years later while living in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. I’ve been running ultramarathons since 2011 (including ten 100-mile races!) and running with dogs for almost as long.
I live with my wife, daughter, and pets Pepper (dog) and Coral (cat) in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
What we do
Your dog needs (and wants!) more than just a walk - dogs thrive on adventure and exercise. Regular running and hiking will help your dog burn off energy and stay healthy and strong. It’ll stimulate their bodies and minds, leaving you with a calmer, happier, dog.
The trails are more fun and more enriching than the roads, so most of our adventures are in the amazing parks and forests we have here in Cleveland. (And sticking to soft surfaces is much easier on our joints!) If there are good trails nearby we can head out right from your home; if not we’ll hop in the car and head to trails.
Then the adventure really starts! We’ll go fast or slow, whatever is best for your dog. We’re out there rain or shine, hot or cold. In the summer we swim in the streams to stay cool and in the winter we keep it moving to stay warm. The dogs of Adventure Dogs CLE are the happiest dogs in Cleveland. We’d love to have your dog join us!

Before your first run or hike, we’ll schedule a visit so your dog and I can get to know each other. We’ll talk about your dog’s needs, energy level, and routine; go for a walk or run around the neighborhood; and discuss how our services might be a good fit for your dog.
To give you and your dog a chance to get to know me and see if we’re a good fit, your first month of outings will be at the group run/hike rate!
